I wonder how many downvotes this idea would get?

Nostr’s protocol allows for NACK/downvotes. But clients aren’t embracing the feature. Downvotes are critical in social discourse. They don’t have to disrupt your ability to post, as you have free speech and are not to be censored. But that right and freedom doesn’t mean you’re right. And when you’re wrong, others should have the means to express their disagreement. Clients can choose the weight and response they give the downvote, but visible disagreement are powerful for guiding people away from bad ideas. Because, let’s face it, ideas are great, and some are bad. A visible disagreement could lead others to do more research. Where otherwise they may just see a bad idea that has a few upvotes and some discourse below but now visually loud evidence of general disagreement. People should be able to negate what you’ve said by boo’ing or downvoting.
