So true. Only exceptions are meetings where money changes hands or documents are signed. People tend to actually focus then 😄
And people who enjoy meetings should never be in charge of anything important.
A very "Engineer" perspective if I may be so bold... Meetings are like water -- you need just enough to keep things working, too much and people drown, not enough and things don't move.
I've been in work environments where there aren't enough meetings. Everyone's running around doing their own thing, uncoordinated.
But of course, it's always good to ask the question "could this have been an email?"

Scratch them. 15-30 min daily standup, and just a few calls (which is my job anyway). Whenever possible I take the calls outdoors walkimg barefoot in the grass. All the rest, communicate async via some messenger (voice recording best).
