In this randomized clinical trial, OBLS education significantly improved health care professionals’ knowledge, skills, and confidence in managing maternal cardiac arrest. These findings underscore the urgent need for implementation of a standardized maternal cardiac arrest curriculum nationwide, especially as the US continues to face high maternal mortality rates and cardiovascular disease is the #1 cause of death in pregnant women.
