Some of the people you're addressing probably didn't read beyond the first paragraph. It needs to be said though. There is a lot of arrogance.

I try to remember that some of these people have been attacked or trolled for years and in response developed a thick skin that manifests as arrogance. It's a working theory. 🤷‍♂️

I agree. It is hard to remain vulnerable in the face of many attacks and trolling. The payoff is worth it though. I keep my story behind anonymity, and there is definitely one there, but I have received so much more than it has cost.

Good quote. Open source development is especially challenging because the feedback path is global. I haven't waded into the arena yet, but I've thought about it plenty.
