They still exist, but I definitely feel this. Not sure how else I would effectively consume news without my RSS.

For a few years of my life I functional only used RSS and Podcasts for news/information. It was terrific.
RSS was dying before google reader shutdown, but that was the nail in the coffin. I tried using RSS again a couple years ago, but very few sites/people I follow offer it.
I have a gut feeling rss will have a comeback moment. i hope so anyway, its still a valid publishing method.
but you are right, some of my feeds over the years have depricated into spam or stopped existing altogether.
same here! I'm always on the lookout for a nostr/rss tool.
