“The relentless pursuit of perfection”

Indeed and how to never be happy when always pursuing perfection
Sounds like a mistake 😂
Yep. A big one
Honestly, I’m not sure from a societal standpoint. A lot of very “successful” people aren’t happy.
Which is why I love having individual sovereign metrics. Im very lucky to have the opportunity to have those 🙏.
Totally agree. I have my own metrics as well and I set goals to achieve them.
It is fine to improve as long as it is by you own term and not by others because you will never be happy and have regrets.
Well, it feels that some people don’t have “be happy” as a metric or even a possible emotive state, but that could be my hyper-criticsm talking
I think also that ppl want to be happy but they use the wrong metrics and wants to please other people or be validated by them.
Well is internal happiness even a thing? Or just a reaction? And if it is, wouldn’t that be narcissism? 🤓
Humm I could be wrong but I don't see it that way. I am happy when I see my kids growing and learning based on my own values. We homeschool them and whatever the society or gouvernment deems good our kids will not be taught to our kids if this don't match our values.
We don't want to please other on the way we educate our kids.
We set goals for us and our kids and are happy to see their progression.
