Nostr or Damus does seem a bit buggy and laggy. Or is it just me?

Damus should be pretty smooth, IMO, probably the smoothest app we have. But if you're having issues, download Primal and give it a try. You can pop your private key from Damus into Primal and use them both. Nostr allows you to use different apps with the same digital identity. Pretty rad. 💜🫂🤙🏻

Sounds great! Decentralisation is amazing.

What version of iOS and of damus are you using ? nostr:npub1zafcms4xya5ap9zr7xxr0jlrtrattwlesytn2s42030lzu0dwlzqpd26k5

iOS 18.1.1

Which damus version?

What “buggy” thing happens?

Damus version 1.12

It lags in sending out notifications. I get my notification banners on my notification center like more than 5 minutes afterwards I think. Sometimes having seen the notification inside the app while I’m browsing it, I then see the notification banner after 5 minutes. So there’s a clear lag in getting notifications in the app, and having them pop up in my phone’s notification center.

Also I think the way notifications are offered can be improved, as in grouping. Reacts, replies, boosts, all notifications seem very similar the way they pop up.

And some notifications in the notification banner display the person’s public key instead of the name/username. So that’s a bug I think

Lastly, if I post something and people are talking and replying to each other, and guy 1 replies to something that guy 2 said in my post, I get notifications as if my post or reply is being to which looks confusing at first glance.
