You lost me at respectable.

We only care about spectacle.

Having talked to Trump and his team directly, does he have any insight on why Trump would prioritize following through on his Bitcoin campaign promises when he isn't running for another term (future donations from the crypto lobby are moot) and he has previously stated that Bitcoin hurts the dollar (which it does).

1) Why the fuss? Isn't everything good for bitcoin?

2) Bitcoin _has_ an ideological lens, i.e. the longer you're in it and the deeper you grasp it, the more anti-state you become. That's a flaw both on your side of the fence (thinking progressivism will stay alive) _and_ for Bailey, thinking that cozying up to Orange Man is a good idea. Why am I wrong?

Did he really think through the risks of making #Bitcoin a political/partisan issue? If yes, what are the downsides and how does he think those are mitigated?
