After going through a “security verification” with a 🏦 I have an account with they couldn’t tell me what contact info they had of me on file.

I said but what’s the point of the “security verification” if you can’t trust to give me that info?

They said “policy.”

This is the policy whereby it is ok for someone who stole my credentials to spend all my money, but not ok for them to get my phone number so they can phone me up on a Sunday and gloat that they spent all my money.

Fair enough I guess, if the insurance reimburses me on the Monday, I'll be happy my Sunday afternoon wasn't ruined.

I had to make a payment today for my dad. Hearing someone read out their card details, digit by digit, really makes you aware how outdated these clown systems are. The replacening will be sweet #btc 🚀

Banks now use a cleaver new security system that they call "verification by voice". So they are analysing your voice and compare them automatically with the voices of criminals that have called the system. Also they compare ypur voicr with previous calls you made with them. Banks and financial services share that criminal voice database. They know when you are calling and you at one of them.
