I’m thinking of getting a MacBook from 2022 for coding stuff.

Anyone have any luck with swappa.com for MacBook type goods?

Or any other possible sources to get one?

Also, is a year old MacBook gonna be ok?

I’m hoping to save a little off the price of the brand new models, but don’t want to skimp on performance necessarily, or have a redundant machine too soon.

I bought an M2 MacBook Air new a couple of months ago. The latest in 13" is a 2022 model. It screams.

My main driver is a 14" M1 Macbook Pro w/32gb RAM from Oct 2021.

It's incredible. Zero regrets. ZERO need for anything more. Running Docker, compiling whatever, ridiculous number of Chrome tabs, OBS live broadcasting...

Biggest quality of life improvement I've ever experienced from a computer upgrade (though, to be fair, I was coming from a way underpowered 7yr old Macbook Air!).
