Fathers, when your children are young, get down and wrestle with them on the floor. Let them throw their weight into you and see that you can bear it.

Kneel down often when you talk to them, especially when correcting them. Show them that you are willing to lovingly condescend to their level and look them in the eyes.

Pick up your children as often as you can. Even when you are tired. Bring them up to see the world from your perspective (h/t Walter Bond) .
