The sign above the platform doesn't say the next train to the central station will be there. Only the screen will trains lists it. Hidden between a million obscure stations.

And yes there it is in the distance. For absolutely no good reason. There isn't a second set of escalators on that side of the platform. The train itself only shows the obscure final destination.

Golm sounds like Middle Earth, so perhaps that's the hint? I've been to Berlin plenty of times and even I felt uneasy until more station names scrolled by.

To continue my rant about dysfunctional airports... they have this really handy list of waiting times. But absolutely no map or signs to figure out which one is where. #BER

They also still have twelfth century equipment where you have to take your laptop and liquids out of the bag.
