I'm a little confused. If anyone can get my Nostr public address and see my feed, can they not also 'follow' other people? Does this not just create an opportunity for a troll to completely ruin your feed? #asknostr #nostrnewbie

They basically have “view only” privileges with your npub.
Your nsec (which you should always keep secret) is what “signs” or gives your npub permission to do things like follow other users or post notes.
At least, I’m 95% sure that “following” another account requires a signed event.
I just tried to follow people using your npub in snort and I couldn’t do anything.
