Is owning #BTC    enough?

Am i doing enough? Or should I also run a node? Why or why not?

Is always good to run a node. At least you're gonna learn new stuff bitcoin.

Executing a knot is always a good idea. Verify your transactions yourself. Strengthen the network. Have a voice. "Not your node not your rules"
