Been debanked since 2019 and living from Bitcoin since 2020. I don't have any fiat income at the moment, so my way to finance myself is selling sats P2P., In a country with little interest and understanding about Bitcoin.

Everytime I try to sell sats to a non coiner the same answer repeats. Bitcoin is not money cause I can't buy food or pay bills with it.

This is specially true in a country where if you make a transaction to a local bank coming from (or suspected to come from) Bitcoin and your bank account is closed and you may get your funds stolen by the banks (several cases have been exposed).

The biggest challenge here is to grow merchant adoption and finding ways to avoid banking system. I can imagine there are places where this hostility is even worse. So plebs needs to be united and find ways to help communities around the world to build the alternative.

I'm doing my best to improve local community in Uruguay, and testing any tool that can be useful aiming that goal. Been able to pay for internet on my phone and little more. Now I want to test if The Bitcoin Company cards can be useful to buy groceries locally.
