Vitor’s censorship affects me personally, and I’m sure you wouldn’t like it if your posts were hidden from the entire network and falsely labelled as “illegal” or “malicious” because you disagreed with some of the biggest bitcoin accounts about their political opinions.

I checked your reports & understand how it can limit interactions, especially on thread replies, though I don't think the block is as widespread as you think. And now, with filters optional, likely to be even less.

It’s a lot more drastic than it may seem to you, esp because my posts are labelled as illegal or malicious because of the false reports. I can tell because a lot of ppl don’t see or reply to them.
Having a different opinion isn’t a valid reason to censor someone, but reports are abused by the popular bitcoin accounts for that purpose.

Given that, i still believe it's not a wide-block as
- Someone has to follow atleast 5 of the 12 people that have blocked you
- this condition is only on Amethyst & other clients don't filter basis reports afaik. Experienced users who typically use multiple clients can see your posts (& new ones are unlikely to follow all your reporters)
Having a different opinion is fine but how it comes across matters more.
And sometimes when your opinion is not valued/appreciated the better option is to stop.
You’re arguing for self censorship which is repugnant. People have a fundamental human right to free speech.
I don’t think you can see blocks, can you? Just reports. I think Damus also does something similar but you can’t opt out like you can on Amethyst.
