One of my bank apps on my phone won't work if I'm connected to a VPN. I sent them a nasty email about it. What if I want to log into the app while connected to a public Wi-Fi network?

Lol same. I had to bitch out my bank as well. One thing I heard from Michal Bazzile recently was setting up a VPN with a dedicated IP for use with banks and such. I know it nukes your anonset but if you dont use it for anything *but* connecting to your bank then as long as your real IP is hidden it seems like a decent solution....
Some services just block all data center IP addresses so if you set up your own VPN on a rented server you still run into the same problem. On my PC I have one browser routed around my VPN connection to access streaming services that block VPNs.
