It’s unbelievably fascinating to me that many westerners have completely brushed off #bitcoin solely because some of the use cases don’t benefit them as much as those in the global south
They are able to open bank accounts and their local currency doesn’t get debased nearly as quickly as most in the world
The audacity to claim that Bitcoin has no practical uses

It will depend on the tempo in which bitcoin is adopted; if quickly they will experience the same shit Venezuelans are familiar with, if slowly they will have a huge advantage since their currency will get them more sats
Some will definitely miss the boat. They'll always benefit from #Bitcoin, of course, but they won't get the outsized rewards.
It's natural response. Change is scary. And it takes balls and an ability to toss aside your ego.
The reality is that necessity is still the mother of invention. They will realize it, when the pain gets so bad that they'll be desperate for relief.
This is the true difference between adoption in the global South verses the North. They've been through hell and back already, they'll see the exits faster and storm them quicker.
