maybe we like stories because we are always trying to find new knowledge which potentialy can help us solve some problems in the future. we sort of collecting for the later use. another known fact that if I say to you factual info, like in the case like this do this and that, that will not stick. we remember way better when info in the form of story, with people and emotions
