Nope, that’s not the same thing. Using AI as a tool you are still riding/driving the horse/car, letting AI generate ideas, debates for you, you’d better stay in bed.

If you reviewed and agreed with message being send out by using AI would that be inherently bad?

I could see a future attack ATH where literacy and critical thinking drop as a result of AI tools. Same as students no longer need to know how to do all math, just know how to use a calculator… for school. For the real world you don’t even need that for most things. Many people will never use it beyond a quick phone calculator addition. I say with a bachelors in applied mathematics. Not sure my 3 courses of calculus actually add value to my work or many fields of work today.

WTF was that autocorrect?! 😂

*I could see a future where*

Not attack ATH haha 😂

We don’t need AI, im already illiterate 😂😂😂

It is simple to me. If you know what you want to say but don’t know how to spell a word, don’t know where to find the supporting data, don’t know at what time some events happened which you wanted to quote, using AI is like using a tool. On the contrary, if you don’t know what to say from the beginning and just asked AI to generate ideas then you are not using AI as a tool, you are the one being used. As you said, critical thinking is important, I am not giving this up anytime.

Calculus may not be useful directly in your life, but knowing the methodology of division is surely a powerful part of critical thinking. Not knowing it and not using it are two different things.

Well said, and I think I understand your point a little better.

Thank you 🤝
