Everyone around me had great stock options and were cashing in, and they thought we should all be licking their toes in gratitude at their wonderfulness. It's like, yo, just drive your Lambo and your bimbo around the block another time, if you need cheering up.

Gave me a lesson in how worthless personal riches are, if you don't put them to some productive or charitable task: most people can't really enjoy them, unless other people know they have them.
