For years, King's X has been one of my favorite bands. In 1990, my ex-girlfriend was also a big fan. She bought Fath, Hope, Love but couldn't find anyone to listen to it with her. Even though she had recently broken up with me to see someone else, she brought it over to my place. I remember she smelled really good. "Just listen to the album," she said at the time.
We got busy with life and lost interest in the band after Dogman, but to this day (yes that ex-girlfriend has been my wife for 30 years now) we still pull out the old King's X albums and think about our carefree life in the 90s.
