You fixed it up yourself?
Yes i sure did! Took me 11 months of working with a wild boy running around "helping"
Apprentice program 💪
Right? I feel like it was the perfect stepping stone to building our new homestead!
👀
What materials you thinking for the homestead?
I’ve been eyeing stone construction for such a build down the road.
I would love stone, sadly there isnt a lot of it locally. It would be so much more aesthetically pleasing though.
We're going to go with cinder block & surface bonding cement for the main structure.
It checks a lot of boxes in one package.
Im going to try to use as much timber as possible from the property, but that might just be lofty dreaming.
Well done, super clean looking!
It took us almost 2 years to totally redo ours (mostly done before kids started arriving, so props for that)
Thank you! I tried to keep as much of the original house as possible. Its built like a tank. If it survived my uncles, cousins, myself and family.. it should withstand just about anything.
