Cloudflare is basically their own Internet they control. People put their sites, services, and relays behind it but is not conducive to free speech or verfiable source IPs. Lots of reasons to question why nostr stuff would be behind it. Make easy for devs but I never recommend from a infrastructure standpoint.

Why not? In my experience it's very effective

It's a very big trade-off if trying to build a decentralized network focused on free speech. Is an antipattern to that. So many cons compared to pros. But use what you like.

Ah OK. I see your point. Its not bad overall, just for a decentralized network.

That's fair, it goes againstwhayt the protocol is trying to achieve.
