Humble pleb question about quantum FUD

Is the simplest solution a soft fork disabling RBF for “old” address types and introducing a quantum resistant address type

Wouldn’t need to be introduced until there was credible evidence of quantum threat in the wild

Want to be able to hammer quantum FUD this Christmas and I just want to make sure I’m understanding correctly
