Fundamentally, I believe the problem with Canadians is a lack of understanding about human rights.

Many seem to think that rights are granted by the government, likely because the concept has been muddied by positive rights, such as universal healthcare.

But the government's function is to enforce the protection of negative rights; they do not grant them.

Unfortunately, too many Canadians fail to grasp this distinction.

too many Canadians have lived through and been born into a system that devalues : knowledge, skill, reasoning, and intelligence in favour of superficial things where lying to each other about competence is the norm.

too many Canadians have been born into a 'set it and forget it' unengaged political system where the staus quo is their deity and how dare anyone think otherwise.

too many Canadians who are incompetent civil servants, entitled bureaucrats, and mroronic Baby Boomers vote for taxpayer supported pensions over the truth and the greater good.

🤙😇❤️

“The status quo is their deity”

Bro just imagine if every trump conversation was replace with an actual conversation about Canadian politics

The TDS started within two weeks. I wonder if they can get passed it.

I have a friend who discovered about C-18 a few weeks ago, because he tried to share a Trump article on Instagram, and it wouldn't go through.

Yet, there he was complaining about Trump not having any clue about what's happening in Canada.

Another observation about Canadians, likely true of other Western nations as well, is their inability to recognize authoritarianism on the left.

Most people can easily identify right-wing authoritarianism when they see it. But when it comes to left-wing authoritarianism, many are blind to its signs.
