1% spread is pretty typical 🤷 most exchanges range from 0.5% to 2.0%, unfortunately, depending on market conditions and liquidity

but yeah, that additional fee is gross

I can understand taking a fee, but quoting a price that's a thousand dollars higher, that's just insane. Down right criminal.

are you going to care when you buy $40 worth of bitcoin when bitcoin is at $1,000,000 and the spread/quote price is $1,010,000?

there’s always P2P markets; you’re paying for the convenience of not needing to find a market maker
