My son will be graduating with a double major in computer science and math in a year and a half. He currently has straight A's and will be graduating from the honors program. We are wondering if he is best off going straight into the job market, or would he be better off getting a masters. He could excel in a masters, but college is expensive.

I know the programming space is getting more competitive, so any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

I see stories like this all the time Jobs are being "off-shored" to AI.

Therefore, I think it makes sense to learn a trade as a backup plan instead of obtaining a masters.
