Bakery bread has the tough crust, doesn't fit in a toaster, so it's not popular with those with children, and that's where habits are formed. Now I'll head out and buy homemade sourdough and slice it up to toast for a breakfast sandwich or just toast, but rarely for a lunchtime sandwich.
