apples probably doing the right thing now weening price conscious power users off all in ones. If they do end up shipping a imac with a max or ultra then shame on them.

Yeah, honestly I’d be better off buying a studio. I’m just not used to not being able to upgrade the Ram in a device. Unfortunately, there’s a fairly legit reason for it, and many PCs are that way now.

M2 ultra with 192gb ram and 2tb drive is a cool $6k 😎

I’d pull the processor and ram out build a mini pc out of that, toss this conversion kit in, and then use the iMac as a display for both the upgraded arm Mac and the pc, that intel should see performance improvements in a larger more traditionally cooled case, it probably needs repasting by now anyways.
