Oh boy I've been diving into modern React lately and thinking a lot about PHP. We've come full circle.

Short answer: Next.js

React Server Components (RSC) is the new default, and it's more like PHP than ever. You write the whole application in React, then a server renders the majority of it as plain HTML, and any interactivity gets "hydrated" after the page loads. It does this all for you automatically without having to think about it. As long as you're fine with running a server.

Those were the early days of webdevelopment.

Did you know you can run a server within your browser? 🤓 #WASM
