Yes, totally agree. I just wouldn't recommend anyone joining just yet tbh. Android or not. Cos it's a bad look in general anyhow. Hopefully sorted in the future.

Along with most clients giving a v similar list of recommended users / influencers of nostr, which a noob will likely follow (some clients even default follow people on sign up). Plus this autoblock feature, you have a recipe of silencing people who are not to the taste (be it personal or political) of a small set of 'power users'.

This will obviously just grow as a problem as nostr grows and people outside of bitcoin twitter join. That seems p obvious to me at least. I find it mindboggling. And I've never really seen a proper explanation / justification for it, just if you don't like it make your own client/make a pull request/ use another client. Really would like to see a proper discussion on this. Why not @ #nostrasia ? It would be v interesting imo
