100% true!! Even now that's a good reminder, tool sickness is real haha.
We started with a $400 contractor saw. before upgrading we bought a planer and jointer, didn't expend more than $2000 on those last two combined and make over $200K easily in the spam of two years.
Of course we wanted the better set up and we did bought it eventually. Was way nicer.
My rule, buy the best tool you can afford at the moment that will last you the longer.
And if you're in a city, check out their makerspaces. Often, you can get unlimited access to more tools than you need and a proper dust collection at cost of a gym membership.
