An app for this simple enough to make, I wonder why nobody ever did it.
There’s the block screen app (iOS) that shows the fees in widgets. Only thing missing is the notifications
Really surprises me that there’s no btc wallet with this integration yet?
It’s been apart of some eth wallets for a while now.
I have a different app that's doing that on Android but it also lacks 🙄 notifications
I guess another way to do it would be notifications on nostr for specific accounts. Twitter had a similar feature. Then turn them on for an account like this one nostr:npub1cyh2mhmvjgplma5de0muydkt0uk6hlynpn7gas4r6xc6zu9utufsststls
Since I have an obsessive compulsive relationship with nostr, this will do just fine!

No problem. We can start off with a default threshold and then add a way for you to modify it (most likely via DM).
e.g. “Let me know when fees are below 7”

No problem! So to start, what would you want your default threshold to be?
Let’s say it 7 says/vByte.
1. Would you want another DM if it goes down further?
2. If it stays at 7 for a few hours or goes up again, would you want another DM then?
Just trying to get an idea of the frequency.
A certain number, if the fee comes down and reaches it (regardless of whether it continues to decrease or not) it notifies me. That's it!
I think it should stop notifying me after this. This way I can set it again (using a different number or the same number). So only one notification per request.
What do you think?

Awesome! I’ll be working on the part where you can DM it to initiate another request. I’m leaning towards making it a simple command instead of the sentence I mentioned earlier. Something like “fees 7”.
If you DM it again with the same command and the previous one hasn’t been fulfilled yet, it’ll update it.

Nice. There’s an issue with updating a request at the moment so hold off on creating one that’s too low (although 1-2 sats/vByte def is possible as we’ve seen the past day or so). Either way, will work on a fix later today. 😎

It seems like I got the update functionality working. It was a little tricky with the duplicate events from various relays.
In the screenshot, I bumped up the “low” fee threshold twice just so I could actually get the notification to close out the request.
Give it a shot when you get a chance. 🤙

There still seems to be issues around updating existing requests, but submitting once and waiting seems ok. Either way, will take a look at it some more today. 🤙

No goal at the moment. Just wanted a place for supporters to be recognized. Yesterday I discovered that zaps to a geyser.fund address automatically show up under contributors. 😎
Crazy that I'm the first to zap such a high engagement post. Or is my client not showing me zaps for some reason?
