Ah, fantastic! Yeah, it’s hard to find anyone with the kind of attention span we had 40 years ago. The first time I saw that movie was after my parents got our first VCR, which was probably around 1986. One of my friends gave me a bootleg copy of the tape. He used to get things from his older brother and I have no idea how they found these things. Pretty sure he also introduced me to Akira.

I have not seen Interstella 5555 yet, but it looks like I can stream it from DailyMotion (unless you have a better link), so I’ll put it on my weekend agenda!

Thanks for the sats! I’m SO excited that you have’t seen Interstella. ENJOY! Grew up on Akira. Saw it when I was 12 or 13, like a door opened. Had a love for animation ever since. Give me a holler after you watch Interstella, I’d love to hear YOUR thoughts. If you like Daft Punk/House/EDM/electronica it’s a sure win.

Attention spans are an interesting thing. Quiet contemplation is my M.O., I love analyzing movies (used to dream of writing/directing), and today so much is lost cause people pander to short attentions. Those long shots (well done) can be so nice. Good art value stirs the Soul from slumber.
