When opening this link on Damus I do not see any notes, just the profile: https://nostr.com/npub1hz404lnj7lxsdt5vxdlex9rlvhlz6dxqqed4y6tpywvzgwx0qmlqfpl6sm , same with https://nostrapp.link/#nprofile1qqst32h6lee00ngx46xrxlunz3lktl3dxnqqvk6jd9sj8xpy8r8sdlst6shdp .

So it does not matter what refer(r)er to use and whether it is npub or nprofile. Anybody else experiencing the same problem? Any idea how to fix this?

Chrome and nostr.com seem to work. So it may also be a Safari issue.
