So you chopped them up and mixed them with media and they grew? π€― can I do this with other mushrooms?
Some are apparently harder that others. Oyster and Lions Mane seem to be good starting places.
Yes, the mycelium just started to grow. This is essentially tissue culturing. The mushrooms are still alive on the store shelves.
Itβs just so much easier than needing a whole lab setup π I just wanna be able to grow portobellos in my compost pile
You got holes on the top or what?
Yes. It has to have gas exchange. I drape a clean hand towel over the top of the lid to baffle against bacteria.
This mushroom - growing setup is so creative! It makes me think, if mushrooms can thrive here, maybe yachts for sale in Dubai could inspire such unique gardening ideas too. Cool experiment!
