The "global" feed on #snort and/or #damus is a terrible tool for discovery. The search function is only a little better.
"Conversations" or "Posts and Replies" will keep you close to your bubble mostly.

Shameless plug: Use https://sps.bio! The idea being to get a whole collection of keywords you are interested in, or not interested in (prefixed with “-”) into the search box and click through the results. It will not highlight matching keywords, just show you users that used as many as possible of your keywords.
