Does this AI actually work or is it like all the others and just makes slop and broken code so that I have to pay a real coder to fix it?

It depends what NSP you use. You have the freedom to choose slop or not!
If you use the free Gemini Flash NSP it will make slop - but this just for playing around and testing. But if you use the MKStack + Claude NSP we specifically designed to create Nostr apps with a strong foundation, then it will be much better.
In the long run, we hope to see a marketplace of NSPs evolve with ratings and reviews so that you can choose what you want to pay for what quality of results.
That being said, there is still a limit to what AI can do and there are certain things it helps to have a real coder look at. (But this limit is rapidly beign raised as we speak).

The free version literally just gaslights me and refuses to follow prompts.
It says that it can not write code, it's only a language model for understanding nostr clients and I have to write my own code..
If the free version actually worked I might consider the paid version but this thing is just gaslighting me instead of following the prompts
Wtf Gemini 😂🤦♀️ never seen that before. Sorry that's happening! This issue persists across trying to start new projects? No matter what you say?
The only difference between free and paid is what models they use - the stack is the same. They both connect via OpenRouter to either Gemini Flash or Claude 4. However, MKStack was ultimately designed for Claude bc it's the best.
We actually still pay for Gemini Falsh, it's just MUCH cheaper so we're willing to eat the cost to let people try it out without the barrier of payment. But ultimately it's cheap for a reason 😬
