i had another short bout of biliary colic again this morning.

did some research, and olive oil and apple juice both seem to be regarded as helpful with reducing blood cholesterol levels and redissolving the chunks that form in the gall bladder.

so obviously, cooking popcorn with butter is out. i now have olive oil for this.

i know how solubility works and very often just a little bit of something can totally change things, even just drops, in some cases. olive oil (extra virgin) is one of the only seed oils that isn't poison, and has been in human diets for thousands of years. if it keeps me from having a cranky gall bladder then i'm in.

Cholesterol is interesting and necessary for lots of biological processes. The NMR panel is really important to determine the cause of “high” cholesterol. Long story short, oxidized LDL doesn’t fit in the liver recycling receptors. Statins up-regulate the creation of receptors, this lowers LDL cholesterol, but doesn’t address the underlying problem, which is, usually consistent high blood glucose levels. Oxidized LDL is responsible for all of the associated high cholesterol health risks.

since i have basically eliminated sugars altogether except lactose i can say that the cholesterol is from the eggs, milk and beef i eat.

i am not concerned about the congestive type because i don't and never have consumed enough sugars to hardly even put on weight except for from alcohol, which is mostly malts.

If the particle size is larger and doesn’t include large oxidized percentages, then the overall numbers are unconcerning. Some people have bodies that prefer higher concentrations and will manufacture cholesterol to maintain those levels in spite of the presence of statins, at great energy cost. This is why the body recycles cholesterol. Valuable compound.
