I am surprised by how rapidly you have changed. What was that communistic environment that featured public humiliation?
I used to work with patches before git existed and I hated it, but it turns out the real problem isn't patches per se, but actually just the emotional baggage from a communist work environment.
nostr:npub180cvv07tjdrrgpa0j7j7tmnyl2yr6yr7l8j4s3evf6u64th6gkwsyjh6w6's hard nosedness caused me to go down the patch rabbit hole and learn that you can have a really nice work flow with patches using git, and it doesn't result in the tangled mess and public humiliation that it used to involve.
Patches also eliminate the need to create publicly accessible forks.
