What’s especially rich about Richard Hanania’s post hoc enlightenment tour is that it comes after a full year of sneering at the only adults in the room—namely, the conservatives who backed Ron DeSantis. Not because they were sycophants or sellouts, but because they were attempting, however imperfectly, to salvage conservatism from the meme-fueled sewer of MAGA demagoguery.
