Expect action. For sure.

Its not too much different from FF7 remake except that you don't optionally control the other party members and do menu input in battle. You might spend the same amount of time in menus preparing for combat though. The game let's you refund your ability points, and you won't get enough points to unlock everything without going into new game+

Unlike FF7 remake, you can get by on skill not stats which leads some people to say its not an RPG. I think that's a dumb conclusion to make because it has plenty of other RPG elements, more than some other RPG games who never have their status questioned
