Centralized platforms, including central banks, always operate with conflicting interests and counterproductive objectives. When technology communication was slow and localized, you could arbitrage for the better, but equally for the worse. Digital technologies ripped away that insulation and now we are seeing institutions break down that were successful for centuries. Twitter is an example. Same will happen to Meta, Google, etc. Just a matter of time.
