You mother sounds weak minded. Most cannot stand discussion of anything beyond surface depth. I hope you have more fortitude for your offspring.

I think she's just closed-minded, which is wildly absurd to me because she taught me to be so open-minded. But I guess that's closed-minded of me to think she would have to be open-minded to teach me that.
