It dawns on me that companies like Apple and Microsoft (and soon to be Disney et. al.) have exhausted their imagination.

MSTR exhausted theirs too but at least Mike has the sense to embrace that, move away from the thing that made them viable, and leverage the very thing that destroyed innovation: their [accreted corporate structure.

Programmers and designers are being replaced by traders and conjurers of debt structuring and finance.

Bitcoin is the legacy companies' innovation now. It's all that's left.

When this happens they look for other revenue streams.

These aren't companies I'd want to be a customer of.

Mike will at least honor his existing customers with customer service but MSTR is no longer a "business intelligence software company". He has said as much publicly.

MSTR is 100% finance now and probably not even VC. I foresee insurance like products and loans in his future.
