I'm too stupid to make a stand. Just hoping damus is also available on android to try it out and get the best option. I think damus doesn't do adopted block lists, which was my gripe with amethyst. But there really is no other choice.

What's adopted block lists?

I'm not sure I can muster the strength to talk about it again and discuss it lol, but I'll try to give you the bare bones. It involved a whole thread of if shadowbans exist on nostr. Essentially they *can* (on clients) although some people argued this is not the correct term and others even said it was good. Essentially, you adopt blocklists from people you follow. If (apparently 5 or more) people you follow block someone, they will be blocked for you too on amethyst. They appear in the 'security filter'. The reasoning is p sound, it's anti-spam. However, it's obviously open to abuse and it may (and seemingly has) blocked people who other people might seem offensive (whether you do or not). This was a while ago, so not sure if it's changed. To undo this you have to follow the blocked person to see their content (even if you don't actually want to follow them). It used to show up under posts, like 'show anyway'. And it was predominantly spambots, but occasionally just a person people didn't like (not saying that they didn't have good reason). But I want toadopt another pwrson's block list. Omg, I can't believe I typed all this shit lololol

In my experience with Amethyst, notes by users that others blocked still show up, with the option to reveal the contents.

I haven't seen that option for a while now after several updates. So not sure what's changed. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ it also suggests a normal user will do that. When most revealed posts are spam, it's unlikely. Omg I'm not doing this again lololol 😭😭😭
