Of course it's an act :).
This guy is a top predator, he's not a dumbfuck, you must be really smart and ruthless to get there. But he's a top predator thanks to controlling the fiat markets. I would spread bitcoin FUD too if I was in his place, I'm not suicidal.
Whitney Webb has done a lot of reporting on how Simon got to be where he is. Like many in positions of power, he was put there by more powerful people.
