I dont know why I didnt install #noStrudel on my start9 server earlier.
now i dont have to be on a vpn to connect to nostr privately because #start9 connects over tor.
all the problems that made me not want to use noStrudel have now gone away. (could not see image previews, etc).
Today is a good day.
Now onto setting up #Mutiny on the Start9 node.
sounds cool. something to play with myself this weekend!
install from cli is also simple.
Umbrel > Start9
#nostrudel is amazing web client. Its smooth and handles communities and supports NIP-65 and TOR. My personal favorite!!
noStrudel is still just a web client though, so even if you install it on your start9 (with tor) your network traffic will not be going over tor
Id love to build it like that for privacy reasons, but unfortunately I cant control how the images and videos are loaded 😞
However the app works reasonably well in the tor browser or with brave using tor

So if I connect to my noStrudel instance on my Start9 server using Tor Browser or Brave with Tor then my network traffic will be going over tor correct? or will my ip address be exposed due to the start9 server routing everything even from incoming tor browser?
