#Bitcoin can't be stopped.

#Bitcoin can't be stopped.

Isn’t the attack vector more simple than that? A government wishing to “ban” Bitcoin would just need to ban exchanges? No? Or perhaps charge an egregious tax rate on unrealized Bitcoin gains?
I know there would still be ways around both of these, but such bans would effectively prevent or deter most “normies” from accessing Bitcoin.
Bitcoin exchanged peer to peer, value for value, does not go through exchanges.
All governments would need to perform this in lockstep.
The covid response should be proof enough of their general ineptness, but we must keep building freedom tools, educating, and not being complacent. They don't have anyone's best interest in mind but their own.
An egregious tax on unrealized gains comes with major consequences as follows
1) It initiates a race to the bottom as all property (not just Bitcoin) become a toxic hot potato
2) A portion of the tax base will take flight, lie, or otherwise do whatever is necessary to preserve any value.
3) The government dies or is overthrown. The populace would not accept this.
Yes it could either slow down adoption or increase it.
